Terms & Conditions of Service

These are the terms and conditions on which Loop Connections (The Loop) offers services. By registering and logging in on the registration page you are indicating that you agree to these terms and conditions. The person registering as a user is responsible for all acts and omissions when using the service. Providers of services registering as providers are responsible for all acts and omissions when using the service and ensuring that all offers and sales comply with trading standards. In this Contract all references to “you” should be read as meaning the account holder whether as a user or provider. This Contract is between you and The Loop. The Loop and Loop Connections are trading names for technology and data services provided by Derek Halden Consultancy Ltd registered in Scotland number SC211928 which has its registered office at 7-9 North St David Street, Edinburgh, EH2 1AW. References below to “we” or “us” are to The Loop. If you wish to discuss your use of the Service or if you have experienced problems you should contact Customer Services via

1. Access to the Service
1.1. You may register for and access the Service at 1.2. Access to the Service using internet or mobile phone networks is your responsibility and at your own cost. The Loop bears no liability for costs incurred accessing the Service. 1.3. You should ensure that any contact details associated with your account are correct because we will use these details if we need to contact you about your use of the service. You are responsible for the security and proper use of your user name and password. If you know or suspect that a user name or password has been compromised, or if you suspect or become aware that any other breach of security of the Service has occurred, you must tell us immediately by contacting our support team. 1.4 We take your privacy very seriously. We process and store the e-mail address and mobile phone number of users to enable us to make contact in relation to purchases and information. We also store data on purchases made and any personal preferences entered by users, including contact preferences which service providers using The Loop can access only in relation to the services they provide. You can view and edit your registered details by logging into your account at We do not share your details with others, other than the service providers as described above, and we retain your details and record of purchases until you close your account. We may contact you with details of events consistent with your contact preferences, but you can unsubscribe from these at any time 1.5. You are responsible for all charges incurred when using the Service and for all activities that occur on the Service using your username and password. 1.6. You acknowledge that we may modify, restrict, suspend or temporarily cease your access to the Service at any time and at our discretion.

2. Appropriate use of the Service
2.1. The Loop Service is intended to be used to help people and businesses communicate, share information, make offers and enable fair trading. You should use the service for this purpose only. We will monitor all activity and reserve the right to remove content that we do not consider is consistent with this purpose. 2.2 All providers are vetted before being able to make offers, but this does not exempt providers from any liability for making appropriate communications, offers and trades complying with all relevant legislation. 2.2 All information, vouchers, offers and other services traded on The Loop are the responsibility of the users and providers. 2.3 All trading between providers and users is the responsibility of the providers and users. The Loop will monitor the trades made and provide feedback to users and providers. However the liability of The Loop is limited to the provision of the loopconnect platform and no liability can be taken for the accuracy of the information supplied by users and providers. 2.4 You do not have the right to resell or enable access to the Service for any third party. 2.5 We may require users and providers to reimburse us for any reasonable and foreseeable losses, costs and expenses which we incur as a direct result of the misuse of the Service. 2.6 As a flexible communications Service The Loop can be used in many ways. If you are unsure if you have permission to use Service in a particular way then you should adopt a cautionary approach and ask us first by contacting us. 2.7 You must provide us with accurate, true and correct contact details. You must keep this information up-to-date and check the email account that we hold for you regularly.

3. Computer hardware and mobile phones
3.1. In order to access the Service you are responsible for ensuring that you use suitable hardware. Most internet connected devices should be able to use the service but The Loop takes no liability for any difficulties or costs incurred by you when you make use of the service. 3.2. The Service is intended for sharing information, making offers, and enabling purchases and you are responsible for ensuring that you use suitable internet connections to enable secure access. The Loop has taken reasonable precautions to ensure that all your details are stored confidentially.

4. Duration
4.1. This Contract can be terminated at any time by us. We will aim to give 28 days notice of termination of the service, except in cases of inappropriate use where services will be terminated immediately. 4.2 We bear no liability for termination of the service and users and providers should make appropriate use of the service in line with our Policies to ensure that they do not incur any loss if we terminate the service. 4.3 Users and providers can discontinue using the Service at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use the service. Such notice will take effect at the end of the month following the month in which notice was served. At this point all your details will be removed from the system and providers and administrators will no longer be able to contact users.

5. Changes to the Contract
5.1. You should check the Website regularly for updates to these terms and conditions. Your use of the Service at the time providers offer a service or users make a purchase indicates that you accept the prevailing terms. If you do not accept any change made to the contract then you should stop using the Service and/or terminate this Contract. 5.2 If you consider that any amendment to this Contract is to your material disadvantage you should notify us immediately. We will endeavour to give you as much notices as possible to ensure that any losses are minimised but we will not be liable for any losses.

6. Exclusions
6.1. We are not liable for devices to access any the service; suspending or terminating access to the Service under the terms of this Contract; and any delay or failure by us to provide any element of the Service or part of it where such delay or failure is caused by events outside our reasonable control. Matters outside our reasonable control include (but are not limited to) severe weather conditions, epidemic, civil disorder, terrorist activity, war, government action, or any loss or damage caused by your use of the Service. 6.2 We are not liable for: the security of any data you transmit using the Service; the accuracy, completeness, availability or timeliness of any information obtained by you when using the service, any loss or damage caused by viruses or unauthorised use of, or attempts to access, the Service; any loss or corruption of data, or any loss of business, contracts, profits, anticipated savings, reputation, or revenue. 6.3 Nothing in this Contract shall limit or exclude in any way any liability we may have to you for as a result of our negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other matter for which it would be illegal or unlawful for us to exclude or attempt to exclude our liability. 6.4 You are responsible for the actions and omissions of any person who accesses the Service using your account credentials. 6.5 This Contract is personal to you. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under this Contract to anyone else, and no third party is entitled to benefit under this Contract.

7. Other
7.1 If you have a complaint or query regarding the Service, you should contact us . We will endeavour to resolve your complaint promptly. 7.2 This Contract is governed by Scottish law. Any disputes can be dealt with by any UK court that can lawfully deal with the case. 7.3 The Service may only be used for lawful purposes in accordance with all laws, statutes and regulations in force from time to time in the United Kingdom (’Laws’). You may not use the Service to send, receive, store, distribute, transmit, post, upload or download any materials or data which: violates any Law; is defamatory, offensive, abusive, indecent, obscene, or constitutes harassment; is or may be harmful to minors; promotes or encourages illegal or socially unacceptable or irresponsible behaviour; is in breach of any third party rights (including any third party intellectual property rights); has any fraudulent purpose or effect or involves a user impersonating another person or otherwise misrepresenting himself or herself as the source of any communication; or damages or may damage our name and/or reputation.
